FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Review the Before Your Journey page for travel requirements of the country you visit.

How many people are on a trip?

Our trips are small, varying between 4 and 12 people with the norm being 6-8. Each trip specifies the minimum and maximum numbers for the trip.

Does everyone have their own room?

Pricing is per person for double occupancy with two people sharing a room at all the 5-star accommodations. A single occupancy rate is also listed if you prefer to have your own room.

Can you accommodate my dietary and physical restrictions?

With advanced notice, we can accommodate almost any dietary restrictions.

Our itineraries will take us to places that are only reachable or best experienced on foot so be prepared for walking excursions and the ability to be mobile throughout the the course of a day. If you have any questions, please contact us!

If I decide to go! What’s next?

Please reach out to us through our Contact form and we’ll schedule a call with you so that we may answer any questions you have and also gives us an opportunity to know each other before you decide.

Once you decide to go, we will invoice you a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the trip cost. If you decide to go within 60 days of the start of the trip, then the balance is due in full. The balance is due 60 days before the trip departs because of upfront costs involved in securing a small group.

After that time, we will schedule a group video call to discuss details of the trip, answer questions, and give you the opportunity to meet the other guests in the group prior to the trip.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Our Cancellation Policy can be found here.

What happens if I have a medical emergency during the trip?

Firstly, we highly recommend that you purchase travel medical insurance here or through some other trusted source that covers emergency medical expense (along with evacuations and that can provide 24/7 assistance during your travels.) for the duration of your trip. Your current health insurance may not cover you in the country we are visiting.

For travelers 50+ years old, we require that you purchase travel medical insurance so you are taken care of if the unforeseen happens. (Purchase your own insurance from a trusted source or through here).

Do I need vaccinations or other health tests?

Many countries require vaccinations and/or other health tests (e.g. negative PCR test) as a requirement for entering the country. We require everyone traveling with us to comply with the entry requirements of the country we visit.

Please review the CDC website for the recommendations and guidance for each country you are visiting with us. To help ensure your immunity, the CDC recommends that you get any vaccinations at least 1 month before you travel.

What documentation do I need to bring?

You will need to bring your Passport. We recommend you provide copies with your loved ones back home and also keep a copy with you in a separate and secure place. Please be sure you have enough empty pages without stamps in your passport and that your passport is valid for a full 6 months after the date you return from your trip.
